"Unable to proceed with payment" error

Troubleshooting: "Unable to proceed with payment" error during testing

If you receive the following error while testing your First Data Payeezy Gateway Payment Pages integration:

Unable to proceed with payment

We cannot proceed with payment because of technical difficulties.
Please try again later or contact customer support at Merchant E-Commerce Store. 

This is likely due to a safety lockout that occurs when one browser hits the same payment page ten consecutive times. To remove this lockout try clearing your browser's cookies. 

Note that each payment instance expires after fifteen minutes so as long as the ten payments do not fall within this time frame this error should not appear.
